Was just browsing through some of the age group world records for men and noticed the 800m WR for the 50+ age group is 1:58.65 compared to the 400m record for the same age group which is 50.51. Either the 800m record is soft or the 400m is a true outlier time. The 50.51 should convert to a sub 1:50 800m. Might be an opportunity for a super competitive 50+ middle distance runner to scoop up an age group record. Any such athletes on these boards?
