they are both legends - not sure who I would go with.
Marciano would knock him unconscious. The fight would be savage and short. There’s no doubt about it. McGregor, while a fine mixed martial artist in his day, simply did not put in the millions upon millions of repetitions that are required to be an elite boxer. He focused his attention in his formative years on several different branches of martial arts, becoming an expert in none. This is normal and proper for an MMA practitioner. But it puts him at a unique disadvantage against a seasoned professional boxer.
It would not be like his fight against Mayweather. Mayweather knew the fight was basically an exhibition worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Mayweather put on a show appropriately, and did not knock out in McGregor until he was sure he could do so with no danger. The referee, who also knew what he was watching, ended it before McGregor could suffer serious injury.
Marciano was an offense first, come forward fighter. He also hit incredibly hard. The fight would be over quickly, and McGregor would probably suffer the effects of it for a very long time.

Marciano was 190 pounds of granite, he'd be way too strong for the 170 pound McGregor. Maybe McGregor can shuck and jive a round maybe even two but this ain't going beyond three.
I do see the 217 pound Mike Tyson being able to beat Marciano because of his incredible punching power and Marciano was a stalker, that won't work this time.

That is very correct in a bar fight very few could handle a pro MMAer,
That cardio conditioning the key.
The cardio conditioning is not the key. Most street fights or bar fights do not last long enough for aerobic conditioning to become important. Most are done within seconds. In the MMA expert would be able to handle almost anyone by using jujitsu or grappling, and simply restraining them.

a bar fight is often a brawl involving obstacles, objects and improvised weapons or pocket knives. 1v1 wrestling not much use.
