Is Jakob doping with Vulture Blood smoothies?
A special variant of the hemoglobin alphaD subunit exists only in the Rüppell’s Griffon Vulture. This variant dramatically increases the affinity of oxygen in the blood, allowing the Ruppell’s Vulture to be the highest flying bird in the skies(37,000ft). This is a bio similar to human hemoglobin and naturally occurring therefore bypasses all tests done by WADA at current events.
The first studies on this hemoglobin were done in Scandinavia (Denmark) and Germany (1988), at the height of East German PEDs.
Since then scientists have worked on isolating the hemoglobin alphaD subunit variants for use in other applications. This hits way too close to home and explains some of the prominence of Norwegian middle distance and distance athletes.
There is a new wave of dope, beyond super shoes, pacing lights and double thresholds. Vulture Blood has entered the running world and we can’t catch it.
