I was wondering if this is okay. I want a little change just for fun/because I’m a little bored and thought turning a 3-4 mile tempo run into 800 or mile repeats would be interesting.
Obviously these wouldn’t be VO2 max repeats because I’m a high schooler base building. If I were to do say 6x800 (so total 3 mile tempo) what would the rest be between each rep? What should the pace be? Should it be a little bit faster than tempo pace or lactate threshold (I get confused by the difference) because you get breaks? Basically I’m just asking about threshold type intervals like this…
