If you think Hobbs was a lock, you're disrespecting the field. And please tell me how Warhurst is overrated. From Diemer to Sullivan to Brannen to Willis to now Kessler... where has he underperformed?
Ron has always been overrated as a coach. Hobbs should have been a lock to make this team.
But go ahead and keep bragging about how fast he is running the Michigan workout.

they all underperformed. tons of talent but very few medals. kessler can't even make a team.
Kessler is 20 years old, relatively inexperienced with championship racing (no NCAA), and still made it further than the other 3:32 guy from this season (Teare). Give him time.
Oh booo hooo a 20 year old kid didn't make world champs, while beating out several more experienced runners in the final and actually making the final vs last year

Lol about my thread being deleted. Used to be a fan of Ron and the boys. Their “everybody but us dopes” schtick was lame. Probably what they tell themselves as an excuse when they get passed for team spots the last 200m.

Are you saying a guy who ran an incredibly fast time in HS isn't immediately dominating the US in his event? WHAT?! Like that has literally never happened before in T&F history. NE...VER.
Well I suppose there is a first time for everything. Yep, obviously the result of terrible coaching. 🙄
A 20 year old loses to guys who are 2-4 years older is a nightmare? I would say some need a perspective. A guy who would be a college soph ran 2:16.x 1:45.8 3"32.x 7:39.x made a final? Is a coaching disaster?
