Watching last night's Steeplechase prelims, I wondered whatever happened to Jenny Simpson's new road racing career? I recall she ran a 10 miler last Spring (?) with okay results but has been absent from the road wars since. Anyone know what's going on?
She's had a series of dentist appointments and hasn't been able to race.

Just checked her Instagram as I don't follow it. Last post was in April. She ran the Houston Half in 1:10 and change in January but nothing since. I must have been thinking of the 10 miler she did in 2022.
I explained this well in another thread. Jenny was NEVER going to be a factor on the roads. She will be 37 next month and she just has become another mediocre woman runner. This is nothing to be ashamed of. She ran quite well for a long time. It is the way of the world.
For many years I remember getting excited when she pored it on, surging to the lead with her wide arm action. I was yelling at the TV for some of her first great performances which weren't entirely expected. Lots of great memories and a well deserved retirement.
Believe she has been injured. Not retired. Recent pics doing strides etc on Insta, just not her account.
