Markezich is NCAA champ and beat Thronson bad. If you put Thronson in there, you gotta put in Markezich.

Jennings should be a lock for the final. I don't see both Coburn and Frerichs making the team this time around. My predictions:

My picks are more based on who I want to make the team. That would be Courtney Wayment, Olivia Markezich, and Emma Coburn. I like Katie DeLay also but she seemed a bit “off” this past season compared to last year.

Coburn is a sentimental pick. would hate to see her end her US Trials in the prelims. i think she's got enough street smarts to make it to the finals.

I'd take wayment, coburn, frerichs for the team. Old school and one new young blood.

Heat 1 - Markezich, Quigley, Wayment, Gear, ??

Heat 2 - Coburn, Frerichs, Boreman, ??

I wish that girl from Cal Baptist was an American. She's very spunky and quickly strings out the field. She ran it the same way in European Team Championships as in the NCAA final.

The three incumbents are not as vulnerable as it appears. These races get spread out in a hurry. Last year Wayment made sure the final was an honest pace. She'll likely do it again. That knocks out all but a handful.

I'll pick Wayment, Coburn, Frerichs. If Frerichs isn't ready it should be Gear or Markezich, with Jennings and Quigley in the next wave.

I think Coburn will find some way to get it done FTW. She did run a 4:05 1500 this season and while her 9:18 is well off her PB, it's still US #2 with a fall. The win will be between her or Wayment, with the third spot up for grabs. Hard to count out Olympic silver medalist and American record holder Courtney Frerichs, but she hasn't raced a steeple all year and ran only 4:18 in a 1500 in May. All of the Bowerman women are extremely confusing at the moment regarding their fitness. If Frerichs is unable to round into the form that took her to Olympic Silver, there are a few contenders for the final spot. Gear has beaten Wayment this year and has an incredible kick, Boreman ran 9:22, Quigley is having a late resurgence, and Jennings is quietly rounding into form (don't forget she was 4th at 22 nationals). NCAA Champ Markezich could also facor for that final team spot.

There is no way Emma fails to advance to the finals..she has run 9:18 this season only Wayment faster for US. The prelims usually end up being 9:30s

Coburn wins unless she gets hurt or falls. Domestically i think she still shows up and wins it comfortably. Wayment gets 2nd and Krissy Gear gets 3rd. Probably the grittiest racer i’ve seen, she’s like the person on the court who’s always willing to guard the best player

I mean it seems that way? How are Cranny, Karissa, Courtney -- who all seemed untouchable pre Shelby's bust --- so flat and out of form?
