live in western pa and aqi is 200. is it safe to do a 45 min easy run? i’m 17 and don’t have any pre existing conditions that would be affected

Far too high. Just jog indoors

when even the New York Times calls you out... Fraud "liberal" (sic) Trudeau says what?
hope someone on the border sets up some giant fans and blows this poison BACK on these reckless, anti-science, arrogant, border crossing creeps.
find a treadmill and have a quality run. Don't try to "tough it out" and run in toxic air
Don’t do it. Don’t even walk outside unless you have to. Find something indoors to do—treadmill, pool, stationary bike.

probably will do a short run on treadmill and do some lifting
200 aqi is so high that is doesn't matter if you have pre-existing conditions because everyone will experience health effects. I went outside for a walk to take photos of the orange sun and felt a burning in my nose and then congestion for a bit when I got back inside. A couple of dog walkers were out wearing masks and that seemed like the wise choice for just spending an extended time outdoors.
Run inside, or find a different indoor activity to do. Even just body weight and core stuff would be better than nothing. I wouldn't run outside in this.
So..you have blinders on and can't stop the boring slog routine that you've done since middleschool? Coping/addiction.

This is a bit of a leap...lol
Definitely do not run outside when the AQI is over 150.
You will get serious flu-like symptoms and end up with smoker's lungs.
Yes. You could get bronchitis and asthma. This entails weeks of coughing and taking prednisone and albuterol to fix it. No good.
The government arson of our forests much stop. This is poisoning the populace!

I was coughing for a week after the episode in the NYC area in early June (but I'm old with a history of exercise induced and cold weather asthma).
When I lived in Delhi for 7 years the AQI was always been 150-275, sometimes passing 300 in the mornings. Ran every day. No problems.
White people think because they're used to living with pristine, crisp air in Whitesville, Connecticut that they couldn't possibly do any outdoor activities when there's even a hint of smog. Newsflash: tens of millions of people live with this air quality every single day.
Wildland firefighters are in that air all day for weeks on end. It's the equivalent of smoking a few cigarettes
Don't people pay loads of money to live in California (and call it Paradise) which has conditions like this all the time? It seems like they have wildfires for months at a time, yet the kids are super fast so maybe the poor air quality actually makes them stronger, kind of like altitude training.
You can still run with an IQ of 200 but it is arguably getting pretty high if you wanted to be world class. I don’t mean to discourage you though.
People are already treating this as the new covid.

Wildfires are worse than smog even at the same AQI
