Tired of high mileage weeks trying to shave a minute or two off my marathon, looking weak and skinny fat, never feeling like I'm at full energy. A few months ago I got into weightlifting after an injury and have really come to enjoy it.
I'm thinking of cutting down to 15-20mpw and doing three full-body lifting sessions a week as well. Fully prepared to never PR again but I don't care. Also looking to do some cross training - rock climbing, cycling, etc.
Has anyone gone down this route? What type of schedule did you do? Did you eventually get sucked back into full time running.
