3:27 looks better than 3:28
when you get to that level, it's generally not about the times - it's about the wins.
Let’s do some math forecasting: If Runner A improves his PR of 3:28.32 by 0.37 seconds in two years, and Runner B improves his PB of 3:34.68 by 5.66 seconds in that same time span, when will Runner B surpass Runner A?
Answer: at next year’s Olympics when Nuguse brings the 1500 gold back to America!!!

Habz (despite my hatred for this kind of runners) progressed in one year of 6 seconds.

So in six years, he will be sub 3’25”.
Have you ever heard of 'the law of diminishing returns'?
Also, during that same 2 year period, he won an Olympic gold medal, a World Champs gold and silver, broken the world 2 mile record and won countless races across multiple distances and disciplines.
He's gone from being a solid place-getter to being just about unbeatable.

Every year, now, there are High School kids running 4 minute miles. The rest of their running careers will be spent chasing a few seconds:
The year is over?

Go slam your head against a wall for all of us
lol. Once he asks for at least a 3:27 pace instead of the 3:29 today it'll be all over for at least b sample lagat. He's not going to run slower than 3:26.2

He doesn't need to get better to crush everyone in the world
Yeah I’m sure he rather go from 3:50 to 3:45 so he could brag about a whole 5 second improvement. That’s much more important than gold medals and diamond league wins.
