Yep, first clean runner to break 3:28, and first European. Hopefully Gourley can become the fourth British born runner, and third Scot to break 3:30. Just realised that still no American born runner has gone sub 3:30.

I think the US will also have a runner under 3m30 for the 1500m when the Oslo race finishes.

You gotta go down to the 100ths, for kicks, and because there’s a big difference between 3:27.00 and 3:27.99. Probably close to half this board thinks he’ll run “3:27”.
3:28.20 is my guess.
1. Ingebrigtsen 3:28.20
2. Nuguse 3:29.47
3. Katir 3:29.60
4. Cheruiyot 3:30.07
5. Hoare 3:30.53
6. Kerr 3:30.82
7. Kipsang 3:31.11
8. Gourley 3:31.47
9. Habz 3:31.56
10. Garcia 3:31.90
11. Nordas 3:32.89
12. Lemi 3:33.53
13. Almgren 3:34.36
14. Grethen 3:34.91
Give or take a couple hundredths 😉
(With Jakob no more likely to be clean than the guys he’s dominating)

If you think Jakob is no more likely to be doping than Katir or the Kenyans, then it pretty much shows your view on doping.
If the pacers do a good job and the conditions are ideal 3:26.71 is my guess. He’s in the shape of his life and his current PB of 3:28.32 was run in the Olympic final after all the earlier rounds. He’s also running in front of his home crowd.

Asbel Kiprop will be a last minute entry into the race. He will make a big comeback and shout gobble gobble MF as he surges past Jakob on the home straight running 3:27:40. The others will slow down considerably after the first half of the race will be at WR pace. Nuguse second in 3:29:28. Jakob third in 3:29:36. Jakob and Nuguse will have an epic battle and it will be so close between them.
I read that the Pacers are going out at 3:30 pace, and the lights are going to be set at meeting record pace which is 3:29. I think we'll end up with a winning time of 3:27-high to 3:28-low.
I'm excited to see where Gourley and Kerr are at. Gourley coming off a 13:11 and bet good indoor season could be set for his first sub-3:30. It's hard to say with Kerr. He didn't look fired up enough last year but has run well both under and over distance this year. Gourley destroyed him in their only 1500 this year, indoors, and took Kerr's national record, so I'm hoping that has Kerr fired up.
Agree 100%, I feel Gourley is the real dark horse to upset the top tier in this one. A fairly close second to Jakob indoors this and his closing 100 is as good as anyone's. That 13:11 shows huge strength and I think he'll dip under 3:30.
I though Kerr looked sluggish in his 800m a few weeks back, hope I'm wrong though.
I'll stick with my guesses from another thread, although I think Jingy could go even quicker;
1. Jakob - 3.26.5 2. Tim C - 3.28.6 3. Katir - 3.28.8 4. Kerr - 3.29.3 5. Gourley - 3.29.6
I'll be surprised if Nuguse isn't in the top 4. And I don't see Jakob winning by two seconds over Cheruiyot and Katir, both of whom look like they are in great shape.
Fair point, I'll be honest both Kerr & Gourley are "hopes" with the heart as opposed to decisions from the head. Nuguse certainly has the chops to place high.
I think the final results will be exactly or very close to what you predicted. I'm feeling like this is the kind of race Nuguse thrives in. And Jakob has given the running world no reason to think that he could lose a 1500m this year. Only guys who I think could beat Jakob is Nuguse or Katir; i'm expecting a heroic effort from him to keep his win streak going and show why he could be the best runner in the world
The real question to consider is if katir wears sleeves or sleeveless. If he wears his asics uni with sleeves, sub 3:30 and top 3. If no sleeves, 3:34, out of the podium, and the doping allegations get worse
