I thought the movie Vengeance by the guy from The Office, BJ Novak, was pretty good. Not an Oscar winner by any means, but a solid black comedy. For whatever reason, I didn't love Air as much as I thought I would... can't really figure out why but it had something to do with the way they handled the character of Jordan in the movie. Seemed low budget how they did that (I know it wasn't supposed to be about him, but I almost wish they left his character out altogether).
I have only seen Cocaine Bear, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Dungeons and Dragons and M3gan. They are all about the same in terms of light weight entertainment. M3gan actually had potential to be something interesting but fell back on the horror formula of the monster/killer running amok. The story about an AI robot replacing human relationships could have been more interesting had it not just reverted to M3gan becoming a high tech Chuckie doll.
Cocaine Bear was funny but couldn't decide whether the bear eating everyone was supposed to be horrific or funny.
D&D was a lot of fun. Chris Pine was great. But it was a fairly forgettable story, even though it was enteraining.
Guardians was probably the best. It could have really been tiring with basically all the same characters doing their same routines. But the back story about Rocket was really sweet and the bad guy/Utopia story was interesting (for a comic book movie).
I suspect that Asteroid City is going to be one of the best films this year and one of the first films I have looked forward to seeing in a long time.
Absolutely! If you enjoyed "AIR," you might like "Sneakerheadz" for more sneaker culture. As for "Blackberry," check online platforms—it's worth the watch. For something fresh, try "Nimona" or "Flora and Son."

Godzilla Minus One was my 6th favorite movie of 2023. Did you prefer Minus Color? I thought the color grading and cinematography in Minus One was great as it was.

Both color and minus color were excellent. I noticed some things in minus color that I didn't notice in color and vice versa. Waiting for the Blu-ray to be released; it's supposed to have both versions on it.
I took a friend to see this movie, and she doesn't like Godzilla movies at all, just no interest. However, Godzilla Minus One just blew her away, she couldn't get over how good a movie it was.
