Hi guys, I’m following a garmin half marathon plan and it’s going well however I have a question about cadence drills. I’ve read up a bit and apparently higher cadences are more efficient and put less strain on the body. However whenever I do my cadence drills, when I increase my cadence, I sweat like a b*itch, my heart rate is much higher than it usually would be at the given pace, and my calf’s start burning. Am I doing it wrong? What is the benefit of it? Because I don’t think it is more efficient or better for my body at this point
