Tuohy got burned out trying to break records. Indoor 5k, indoor 3k, indoor mile, outdoor 5k, tried to break the 1500m record at Wake Forest.
The indoor mile record holder and outdoor 5k record holder got 7th in the 1500 and DNS in the 5k.
They should have been preparing her for USATF championships, not going after to many records.

In theory that was what they did - she ran few hard races - yes the one hard 5000 vs the pros. But more recently only an easy 10000 at ACC, ran her 1500 heats slow, ran a comfortable 5000 at regional.

She was not the overwhelming favorite in either race. T&F news predicted a 3rd place finish in the 1500m, but she ran too aggressively and paid for it at the end. It’s happened to other athletes and she can comeback.

This is most likely Tuohy's last outdoor season in college, so her opportunity to break college records was now or never.
