It's an interesting Q. I wonder how the high volume threshold training will transfer to longer distances. Will J still run 4*threshold workouts per week and then perhaps something marathon specific? It'd be interesting to think how the new Norwegian program would be adapted for the M'thon. Perhaps also a middle-week long run instead of the easy doubles?
