I ran a 4:34 1600 in 86 degree and sunny weather. I entered this time and temperature into the VDOT app and it converted to a 4:23 1600 (a difference of 11 seconds.)
I feel like this conversion is too generous. I know the heat definitely affected my time, going into the race I thought I was about 4:28-4:30 shape, so I assume the conversion is too fast. But on the other hand, I won my heat and destroyed some kids that have a much faster PR than I, and this is only my first attempt at a fast 1600 this season.
Do you think this conversion is accurate? If not, what do you think my time actually converts to?
