Two solid efforts, and he looked decent doing them, again well-controlled, within himself. He is once again a force in the 100m. Tremendous!
Honorable mention to Browning in 2nd at something like 10.10, his overall race looked competent. Like I said about an earlier race of his from this year, his first part was off. His start now seems inconsistent. He could hit a big one at some point.
Looked to me like Kerley was running pretty low, with good turnover under him. Good way to stay easy on the body, especially early on. Nicely done, smart IMO.
Btw lol all the bs noise Kerley is making about going after the 100m WR.
Kerley opens hard in a time that Bolt quite literally jogged for the 2nd half in a London quarterfinal.

From an outside perspective, 9.58 is monumental—as is a goofed and negative-leaned 9.69
Until I see someone play with a 9.6, any talk of 9.5 is pure fantasy.
It is all fantasy. These guys cannot break 9.8 without PEDs. Hell even you Geezer would have been hard pressed in your prime to break 10.8 without some “support.”
Lyles is the only really impressive sprinter around lately, could beat Bolt's WR any time. No current 100 runner is getting near Bolt.
IMO Knighton is more impressive given his 19.49 and bronze at 18. He's still(!) a junior, so he's definitely set to break Lyles' AR and possibly even Bolt's WR. Although I agree with the 100m take, there just isn't anyone with the talent to be able to even come close to a sub 9.6 clocking.
If Kerley emulates Bolt it will most likely be by winning the 100m-200m double in the WC and/or OG.
There is a sprinter who will always stand taller than all others that is that multi talented cat who can knock out a 400m at any time. Here are the special ones, Herb McKenley, Tommie Smith, Usian Bolt, Fred Kerley. In order to run Boltish times it will take a 400m guy coming down.
Herb McKenley was a 400m world record holder, he also made the Olympic 200 and 100m winning the silver, first sprinter to be world ranked in all three sprints.
Tomme Smith was involved in 11 world records, world records at 400/200. Second cat to be world ranked in all three sprints.
This is where Fred Kerley belongs right there with the great multi talented sprinters. Bolts first event was the 400m.
