I am freshman going into sophomore year and I want to make a big jump in the 5k. Last year I ran 18:45 for a 5k off of 25mpw and this track season I have run 2:10 and 4:55. During the track season, I did about 25mpw with a peak of 35.
My goal is to peak at around 50 mpw this summer with lots of tempo runs and possibly some doubles. I am taking my off week right now and will likely start training right after. What is a specific, week by week training plan that I should be doing? What is a realistic 3mile/5k goal time to shoot for?
