I live in Arizona, meaning spikes aren’t allowed in cross country. Last year I used the XC 5 flats, but with the release of the new dragonfly XC, would it be better to use them spikeless? Or stick to traditional flats?

Vaporfly works great if the whole course is hard packed and level (no ankle rolling risk).
High stack played shoes like VF should be banned for XC, but until they are they are a good option.
Honestly I'd just go barefoot
Damn no spikes is crazy. Yes dragonflies are very light I love them for track and plan on using them in xc next year. If you can get them they will not dissapoint.

Yes. Putting blanks in the dragonfly XC would be better than the xc-5.
As light as the xc-5 are, I always found them to be much slower than track spikes for cross country.
Appreciate the feedback. Definitely gonna be using Vaporfly or Streakfly for early season and primarily dirt/road courses, but come grass courses, I’m hoping dragonflies will be the best bet. And then I can spike up for postseason stuff.
Have you considered a non-Nike shoe? No?
