Especially for high school kids.
With PEDs, high school kids were generally immune from speculation. We just assume that a 14-year-old kid is not on EPO.
But these super shoes steal the glory from the kids. A kid pops a fast time, and we automatically assume it's the shoes (and for good reason). But still, it takes away the glory and excitement. Always an asterisk after a new record. It ruins the sport more than drugs ever could.
