LT Work: 5-8 x 1000m with 200m jog. Use an online calculator to determine your pace, based on CURRENT 2 mile fitness. Alternate this with your tempo runs.

Race Pace Work:
6 x 800m -OR- 12 x 400m
At or slightly faster than current race pace / fitness
Equal time recovery

8 x 300m with 500m jog. Run these at mile pace or a bit faster. This will make 2 mile pace feel smooth and relaxed.

4 x 200m faster than 800m effort. Throw these in after a tempo run. This will help perform the 8 x 300m smoothly.
