curious to hear others experience buying used novablast 3's from asics.com
how 'road tested' did they look? Did they feel like new shoes? Where you satisfied with your purchase?

"All Road Tested purchases are final and cannot be returned" :( and they don't even show real photos: "The item you receive will be gently used and may differ from the item in the images displayed above."
Hard to guess what you may get.
I never heard about this program until now but I looked at the prices of road tested shoes for models I am familiar with. Most seem to be about $20-$30 less than what you could pay for new. That doesn't seem worth it to me.
I know most people want the newest models, but you can often get great deals on the previous version.
I haven't bought them used, but I have a lot of experience with the Novablast series (including the 3). They aren't the most durable shoe, so I'd be somewhat wary in buying them used. From what I can tell, the discount is only $30 and given that they are final sale, it doesn't exactly seem like a smoking deal. Good shoes though.
Asics return policy according to their website:
Might take a chance on buying some if I see a colorway I like in my size.
definitely. Last year I picked up a few pairs of the Novablast 2 for $70 !
I had version 1 during the lockdown. Put 800-1000 miles on them and could have put double that. I weigh 140lbs. I liked them more when going faster than 7:00. They weren't as plush at slow paces.
I made the mistake of purchasing a pair based on the representation from Asics that the shoes were gently used, and were returned because of some innocuous reason such as they were the wrong color etc. The shoes I received were actually very worn with almost no tread left. A complete waste of $75.
I'll sell you a pair of slightly used Asics GT-2000 4 that have 4,000+ miles on them. They have been re-treaded with ShoeGoo about 9 times. Some sole separation, but fixable with more ShoeGoo if need be.
My asking price is $250. No low balling here...
