I will say it and we all know it's true. Mt SAC is a terrible place to hold a track meet.
I give big credit for Sound Running for trying to make it work, but it's time we move on from Mt SAC.

What's bad about it?

It's not just Mt Sac, it's everywhere. UCLA in 3 Weeks will be the same ghost town for the Friday Distance Classic. It will only be slightly better on Saturday because those days will include the sprints and names like Sydney. Distance "fans," like the morons here, don't support the sport, they just talk a lot of sh!t and complain. The sprint fans actually show up. Any distance only event, no matter what you do to try and entice people, will fail.
Mt SAC is too far from LA and the track is a wind tunnel
The MtSAC venue is one of the finest in the US and the best in the LA area. It’s well appointed, good viewing plus JumboTron, covered seating, and a very fast track. Relative to the rest of Metro LA, the traffic isn’t bad either. The issue with this event is that it’s not promoted at all! For the second consecutive year, nobody knew about this meet. There was absolutely no promotion whatsoever! Meanwhile, the Lakers (25 miles away) and the Angels (12 miles away) were playing.
Any 400m track is terrible for spectating. From any stands you only get a decent view of a portion of the race, and the size/openess makes it feel so lackluster.
All tracks should be 200m to enhance the fan experience. We are the only sport that makes decisions primarily for the athletes rather than the fans.

Oh really? Move on to where exactly?
Johns Hopkins in Baltimore is a spectacular venue
