Don’t worry about it because likely you’ll never have the “perfect race”. Just run and trust you’re getting fitter and the times will come. Compete to win.
4:54-55
I ran sub 5 for the first time with very similar splits. My next race (a couple weeks later) was a 4:47, followed by 4:46, 4:44, and 4:42 where I ended the season. In the summer I ran the 1500m equivalent of a 4:40.5

Probably around 4:53-4:55, hopefully that’s not too disappointing but the slower middle laps tell me that the pacing wasn’t ideal but not too far off of what you could run in a well paced race. You should make a good attempt at hitting 74s/75s and then see what you have for the last lap, I’d guess you could still drop a 70 or maybe even a tad faster, or just run 73s for the whole thing.
