I’m torn between the usual choice of Dragonflys or going with Vaporflys for my 3200m next week (it’s a high school race so I can wear them.) I have a prominent heel strike, so I feel the foam of the super shoes will serve me better than any spike could, but I have never worn them in a race, just for workouts. I’m hoping to run around the 9:00 barrier, so ~2:48 /k or ~4:31/mi (it’s 3200m not a full 2 mile) The track surface is apparently new, not sure if that factors into the decision that much. Is either that much better than the other or is it just a decision on what I am feeling on the day?
