I personally have found the vaporfly to be a bit slippery compared to the boost in wet conditions. But if you are asking if it’s the reason Kipchoge lost, the answer is no.

The great continental rubber doesn’t hurt, but adidas also brought out the big guns for the race they sponsor of course.
