I'm running the Rotterdam Marathon next sunday (16th).
I ran my last PR in October 2022, which was a 2:48:17 marathon.
My goal is to run below 2:45 but I'm not sure if I should start a bit faster, aiming for 2:40.
5 weeks ago I ran a 1:16:58 half without a serious taper. Throughout this training block I have ran a 16:50 5k, a 34:59 10k (both without specific training for that speed) and a 30k race as training at 3:51/km pace.
The 30k race was 8 weeks ago and since then I have done some solid long runs with marathon efforts around 3:50 pace.
I started training in january and I have averaged around 130 km's per week.
Based on this data, what do you think would be a realistic goal for the Rotterdam Marathon?
