30:41 at Gabon 10k. Don’t think he’ll be a factor at London in two weeks time.

If that is a true indication of his fitness, he will DNS. No way he wants to embarrass himself by running 2:20 and finishing with the club runners
Results:
To think he's probably been full throttling EPO for the last 6 months in Epiopia too.
He was done years ago.
I thought someone had bumped a several year old thread. Mo hasn't been relevant for a while.
Pretty good time for a masters runner I’d say.
Farah will definitely dodge Bekele.
Hopefully he was just doing it for some $$$ and ran it at marathon pace. Otherwise he shouldn't start in 2 weeks.
Interesting place to go to run a 10k. Does anyone know if he has a connection with Gabon or has he been training there?
He had a great career (10 combined Olympic + World Championship gold medals) but it's time for him to hang it up.
A guy with 10 global gold medals is always relevant. It doesn't mean he's still good, but all-time greats are always interesting. If Bolt said he was running a 100 next week, I'd still watch him drag his out of shape carcass down the track.
And while nobody thought Farah was going to trouble the top guys, I still thought he could run a solid time in the 2:07-2:08 range. That might have made him competitive for the British Olympic team. He ran 61:49 for the HM less a little over 6 months ago, dropping to 30:40 for the 10k in the interim is a pretty shocking decline
I agree. People still pay to hear Bob Dylan sing and he was past it decades ago.
the truth. wrote:

He only had a great career because he competed during a weak era of 5K/10Kers.
Who was 4th in the 2012 Olympic 10,000m race that Farah won?
What a looser this dood has become. Only 4 gold metals. Just dum.
Actually 10 Gold medals and 2 Silver medals including Worlds.
He is 40 now.
clearly been a while since he's been on the sauce, the decline continues.

Yeah, what a HOT take by the OP, “predicting” a 40 year old two time double Olympic gold medalist from years ago is past his prime.

He's always had a keen interest in Francophone culture and literature. The result, almost 2 mins behind 5th place, looks grim in any language. The fee maybe less dispiriting.
maybe he was running at 50k pace
