If I live within a few miles of the boston marathon start, can I get dropped off in town and walk to the starting area as a participant?
There’s an option to take the bus from 52 south st but that’s like the opposite side of town as me. Seems silly. Any locals have experience with this?
I was thinking end of Wilson Street from the north. I assume I can get close to Main st from there?

Funny, I've walked the 2 miles to the starting line after being dropped off from the 495 / w main st exit, although I took busses after that. If I lived a few miles from the start, I'd probably bike.
