True but not because of the shoe itself. For approval the shoe must be ‘readily’ accessible and available to the general public. So until it’s released by Nike for sale to the public, it remains non yet approved.
This is weird because the Hoka Rocket X2 was not available and some ON elite racers but still elite people wore them.

They removed that stipulation and it is available to the public. It went on sale in Europe a couple of weeks ago lol
