To use an S-Video cable you need the composite audio cables plaugged in in the same way you have them now, just not the yellow video part. See how the S-Video Jack is in the same sector as the Composite Vid/Audio inputs? BOOM! Got it done.
I mean, it's S-Video, not freaking DVI-HDMI, it's a cheap cord, go get it over with. You probably have about 4 differnt video options off the DVD, but one sound. The TV will always look for the Sound in, and it's a simple deal. It's not like they're going to make a TV without sound on the S-Video setting.
I have a similar Zenith, go buy the cord, it's cheap.
