Flying in from Europe to run my first Boston in a few weeks. I’m staying at a AIrBnB near Orient Heights, and was wondering what the best strategy would be to get on the bus to Hopkington in time.
I’m in wave 2, which starts at 10:25. What time would be smart to line up for the busses?

There is an MBTA station in Orient Heights on the Blue Line. Take the Blue Line to Government Center, then transfer to the Green Line. Take it three stops to Arlington Station and you'll be right where you want to be. Getting to the Expo is the same except take the Green Line a couple stops further. Copley Station is the race finish line and Hynes convention Center is the Expo.
There is also a subway line that goes straight out of the airport to the Blue line to get to your hotel.
Slight clarification: the subway line (Blue line) goes to the airport but you have to take a shuttle bus from the airport terminal to the Airport Blue line station. Otherwise, the advice of taking MBTA ("T" for short) to buses morning of the race is spot on, down to the real precise directions of where to switch from Blue to Green and where to get off Green. In terms of time, they'll give you booklet at Expo that lists boarding times for your wave. I wouldn't go any earlier than earliest time listed for Wave 2 unless you want to be sitting around for a very long time at the start line.
You can also ride the T for free on race day by displaying your race bib.
