I wear mine abnormally
I run almost exclusively in 4-inch Nike split shorts, sometimes 3-inch.
nothing weird about it. Male, 30 y.o.
i only get weird looks at the gym.
Only 3’ split or half tights. 5” are fine if I’m jogging and want to get food after

You’re supposed to wear half tights at the gym. #amateur
Way to expose yourself as a novice.
i wear short split shorts when the temperature is over 85F. no shirt either. but i am middle-aged and no longer care what people think.
Mostly wear half tights, but will go to splits in god-awful heat.

Lifelong runner here. Have always worn split shorts and still do at 67.
Have several pair of 3" New Balance split shorts, 2 pair of Tracksmith, and one pair Rabbit.
Can't imagine running in nothing else.

Same here. I'm 60. Most runners wore short or split shorts in the 70s and 80s. For some bizarre reason Millennials and Gen Z are a bunch of repressed prudes who find the human body embarrassing.
I am in my 50th year of running and racing and have run probably close to 700 races.
I have never worn anything but split shorts. (Okay, I need to correct that - once this winter I work a pair of half tights in a 10K race, but in my defense it was 31 degrees - btw 8th overall at age 66+)
Wear what you feel best running in.
Life is not a fashion show.
It’s completely normal. On my team you’ll get made fun of for wearing basketball shorts (anything over 6 inches or not half tights)
It's on your head, besides who cares you're out there doing your best never been ashamed of that
