I am saying if you put together a team of the very elite WNBA players and allowed them 6 months to practice together, could they beat the Houston Rockets who kind of stink?
They certainly could not even play with the Houston Cougars NCAA team. 60 point spread. I would say BBall is the biggest disparity in women vs men sports. Hockey is right there. Boxing, wrestling. If women played pro football, then that would be #1. BBall is way more physical at the HS and above level than people think.
So what are women the closest at? Golf? Downhill skiing? Long distance running?

Men are bigger, faster, and stronger. Any activity where any of these provides an advantage will be out of the discussion.
I think the Rockets are only the third worst team in the NBA, better than the Pistons and the Spurs. And the salary cap and draft system are in place to encourage parity, which with the depth of talent is at an all time high, so bad teams can randomly upset good teams on any given night: the Rockets beat the Celtics on March 13 (and then won their next two against the Lakers and Pelicans). You also see teams missing 4 starters due to injury and pulling off wins - again, due to the depth of talent in the league.

Boban Marjanovic is 7'4".
Houston could score on every possession vs any female team in the world without even trying very hard.
No, it would be a blowout. I'd expect a score like 90-2.
Not only that, but the women's team probably couldn't beat a men's college team that failed to make the NIT tournament, say 9-18 Fresno Pacific. They'd put up some points but it wouldn't be close.
The women's team would also lose to an average D3 team. Now we might expect the women's team to put up some points but probably is still going to lose by over 30.
Finally, against an average (not the very worst) high school basketball team, the women's team would only lose by 10 or so.
Yes the discrepancy between men and women is so large that an elite women's team would lose to just the best (or at least most interested) teen basketball playing boys in a small geographic area represented by a school district.
In soccer, it seems to be standard practice for professional women's teams to scrimmage against u15 boys teams. The women usually get shut out, but at a level that would look like a score from a decent game. Against a bad pro team or even 18 year olds, I'm not sure the score board would have enough digits. Here are a couple examples - the second is a national team playing what seems to be just a decent u15 club team. Basketball, a sport which gets much less attention from women than soccer would be at least as big a blow out.
Make Houston play only men who those who can matchup with the same height (within an inch) and weight (no muscle morons) as the women. The game will be a lot closer than you bois think.

Rockets are on fire. They beat the Celtics, Lakers and Pelicans. They are also the only NBA team to currently be starting three Juniors. Kevin Porter, Jr., Kenyon Martin, Jr. and Jabari Smith, Jr. (feeling very old having watched Kenyon Martin's dad play college ball at UC).
Rockets burned through a lot of cash trying to get a title with CP3 and Harden. Pandemic hit the owner's pocket book pretty hard (Fertitta owns hotels, restaurants and casinos). So, the Rockets are on a 5 year plan. Team has been stripped of high dollar veteran players and is trying to find the players who will be the next Giannis or Embiid. It takes about 4-5 years to get a top draft pick to become a dominant NBA player. Kevin Porter, Jr. has improved a lot this year. Jabari Smith is definitely going to be a star in a few years. Jalen Green is also a hot prospect. Another solid draft in 2023 and the Rockets will have the foundation to start building a contender while having enough cash on hand to be able to scoop up a superstar or two in free agency.

It's March and they have been eliminated from the playoffs for weeks.
