Is this the fastest time in the nation for a freshman this year? This is great 👍. Not the first runner from Southlake to coached by a parent though.
Probably among the fastest times in the nation for a freshman ever, let alone this year. Verzbicas ran 14:18i, but later skipped a grade and graduated after just 3 yrs of HS. He was initially “old” for his grade due to moving here from Lithuania and he wound up graduating at the “normal” age after skipping ahead. So, some might consider the 14:18i a sophomore performance. No others immediately come to mind, but given the fact that we have had sub-9 freshman boys, I’m sure many could’ve gone 14:33 or under.

Lol that's so true. Now I know a freshman hobbyjogger (not on the team since he's too slow) who's in easily sub 15, probably closer to 14:30 shape but isn't fast enough to make the team
