"During XC season, there was a lot of debate as to who would win when Valby and Tuohy faced off, but right now there is little doubt who is the best distance runner in the NCAA"
Valby: 4:35 and 8:49
Tuohy: 4:23 and 8:35

He doesn't give credit to my guy Drew Bosley too because, Nico Young.
That statement deserves as many downvotes.
He is the president of Valbymania
Valbymania is weird and unnatural and it has to be stopped.

Rojo has not been fair to Tuohy in the past. He has not appreciated just how rare and incredible Tuohy really is. Had Tuohy been a male of this talent level, we'd never hear the end from him about what's to come. Instead throughout high school there was a lot of "I'm not convinced" BS, and the bizarre thread after 2019 NXN comparing Tuohy to Young saying Young was the better prospect with startlingly little evidence.
But this example is incorrect.
Keep in mind throughout XC Parker Valby was running some stunning 6Ks, even running sub-19. Now there were arguments that the courses were short, had little hills and she had little competition, but on paper, it really seemed at points like Valby was a threat to win it all.
She was a threat to Tuohy in the Spring of 2022, and she was in fine form in the fall. So the debate in XC I think was valid, but the debate about overall talent level was never a debate. It's Tuohy. Through and through.
Any time I talk Tuohy, we just have to take a breath to reflect on how absurdly good this athlete is, and how she has been blessed to have coaches who know how to develop her talent. To see the progress from 7th grade to now is completely wild.
He was a fan of the phenom that came before her so don't expect him to be enthusiastic. It also didn't help that both came from the same city.

ITS VALBYYYYYYYMANIAAAAAAA
The WTW literally just said KT was the best runner in the NCAA right now. I don't think Rojo is denying this. Plus, the site flooded with KT interviews everywhere you look. Still, it's smart to promote rivalries on the site for the sake of debate and traffic. Valby isn't quite on KT's level yet but her raw potential can't be overlooked either.

tuohy is good but is NOTHING compared to other NCAA athletes. Talitha Diggs has an World Championship Gold Medal. Tuohy wasn't even close to qualifying.
What I don’t understand about many of you people is if you have an opinion about how good a runner such as Tuohy is, why do you even care what Rojo thinks? It is not like Rojo is the arbiter of all opinions related to running. Secondly, no matter if he is the grand Wizard of ascertaining runner’s abilities, he cannot influence realty in terms of she is what she is, and nobody’s opinion really alters this one iota. It is one thing to be insecure about what others like Rojo think of you, but you appear to be insecure about what Rojo thinks of someone else. Very strange indeed.
IT’S TUOHYMANIA BABY!!!!$$$$💪🤘

Sprinter fans just don't know a thing about Distance and they don't even try to hide it.

Talitha runs one event. She wouldn't last a day being a distance runner.
Tuohy looks suspicious. Until she gets tested a few times, I don't think he will support her.
Didn't realize that rojo was plural.
