I was reading an interview with Sergey Bubka a while back and his thoughts were Duplantis could ultimately go as high as 6.5m for his all time PB. Duplantis is definitely one of those once in a generation Usain Bolt like phenomena. My hope is Duplantis doesn't just keep adding 1cm to the world record each season to make more payroll and then pass his peak as an athlete and miss the height he could ultimately have achieved if he had focused purely on going as high as he could go. With that approach he might only hit 6.30ish (that would still probably be an untouchable height for many years though!)
