Curious what people think about this. I'm someone who has two very specific problems with high mileage training: number one is a general lack of desire to slog through the slow mileage and number two is that a long run every week is a little too frequently. I have had luck with scheduling a long run every 10 days though. So I'm curious if anyone has scheduled a "100 mile a week" similar to the following:
Sunday: 12-15 mile long run
Monday: 3 in AM/5 in PM
Tuesday: 4 in AM/8k-10k worth of tempo or cruise interval work
Wednesday: 3 in AM/6 in PM w/ strides
Thursday: 4 in AM/3k-5k worth of faster paced track work
Friday: 3 in AM/6-8 in PM
Saturday: 4 in AM/6 in PM w/ strides
Sunday: 3 in AM/6 in PM
Monday: 4 in AM/8k-10k worth of tempo
Tuesday: 4 in AM/6 in PM
With warmup and cooldown should be ~100 but is it legit? Is this a good plan? Is it sacrilege to not do a Sunday long run? Discus.
