Everybody loves a Cinderella story, but sometimes the answer is obvious. It will eventually come out. But, my guess… micro-dosing only short half-life PEDs and/or simply not enough testing.
I just got back from Millrose watching OAC, Union, BYU, BTC, all these groups warming up including Muir, etc., and I think y'all are training marathoners. These pros do so much pattern and explosion/connection work that I never did in college or pro. I only used to see sprinters and jumpers do it. Complete different level of power transfer that I think has trickled into NCAA and no one just running 100 mile weeks.. it's really good 360-training of body.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

Americans when they complain about not being competitive on the world stage, then have a lot of runners finally sub 4 and guys who can compete on the world stage

Hey Halberstram, that Bateman guy from the office is a real dork right?

It’s called EPO and testosterone. The secret drugs have been developed. It’s about dodging the tests through corruption or through announced drug tests.

52 guys doping or 52 guys buying shoes that makes you (depending on your response) 2-5s faster? I know what one I am betting on. There was a somewhat steady rise in performances from the early 2000-2019 that is pretty easy to attribute to demographics and better training. The stuff since then is shoes. Instead of running a 4:02, you are running 3:59.

In addition to a few second boost from the shoes we have a bunch of college runners that are 1-2 years older than normal seniors and getting extra time in a supported running dedicated environment thanks to the Covid eligibility.
Remote classes providing more schedule flexibility and even leading to some people to doing extended off-campus training camps.
A good chunk of the NCAA is BYU aged with pro-runner schedules and shoes that allow you to train harder and race faster. The openness of training protocols has reached a point that everyone knows what good training is. It would be weird to not see an explosion of fast times.

I can only run a 6:30 mile, so if anyone else runs a 3:55 mile, they MUST be doping!!!
