If what everyone is saying is true, and the Ritz-trained, super-spike-wearing, 75-year-old mile phenom Jim Ryun truly is making his return today, I’d like to change my earlier prediction. I just don’t see him going sub4 at the Armory.
That said, this is likely the normal rust buster one does after a 50 or so year layoff and his real attempt will be next week at BU. Im going with 3:59.65 if he gets in a good heat.

Let’s go Jim!
What are you even talking about man? I have seen you slander Jim Ryun again, again and again on these boards the last few weeks.
Ryun wouldn't fly all the way from Kansas, get on the plane first (because he's very old and planes allow for that), only to run 4:01.
Everyone knows that if Ryun is healthy, and he is trained by Ritz (or Ritz's father), and he has super spikes on, that a sub-4 is happening tonight.
