lt would appear Seth has transcended vlogging and is now a filmmaker. I would say Tracksmith should hire him to make films, but he'll probably pivot to start his own production company.
Zero interest in hobby jogger clown show. I'm surprised some really smoking hot girl just don't do bikini running influencer. I mean not like Onlyfans but real running influencer channel. That would make kofuzi, mattchoi, etc all obsolete.
Real missed opportunity with the og shoetuber. Could’ve got great views if he filmed the shenanigans on the strip and Fremont street. Could’ve got the strip clubs in shot as well. Shame.
This is what happens when you don't play by ShoeTuber Law, which requires the enthusiastic endorsement of various races and brands, maintaining a consistently positive demeanor, and upholding the principles of inclusivity. It is expressly forbidden to expose irrational fixations, such as a hobby jogger's obsession with the Boston Marathon, or to suggest runners might judge each other.
(however, if you're doing very shallow, unclever, surface-level humor like Laura McGreen, you're OK. I guess that doesn't really get under people's skin)
Laura McGreen is actually quite funny and mocks the instafluencer scene!
Legit question but how does Kofuzi suck so much at running. He's been involved in running full-time for several years now, has access to whatever gear he needs, has a ton of time to train, and when he started he already looked like he was in decent shape. Like how is it possible that he is still flirting around 3hrs for the thon?
While he’s not fast by our standards there’s a genetic limit for some people that’s harsher than others. He has a high volume for his marathon time, but maybe not much he can do about that. I also think it applies to how much you’re able to withstand discomfort or pain, which has to do with genetics and how you were raised. Also, he doesn’t look old, but he is not young anymore.
It really comes down to individual talent. There are guys who run 1:29/2:59 but can't break 40 in the 10k or 19 in the 5k and then there are dudes who run 17 in the 5k/38 in the 10k but come in at 1:35/3:07 for 13.1/26.2...Some people have the ability to run on the edge and split the marathon well even if their 10k and shorter distances don't line up with the calculators!

I'll +1 Feathers, but come on, complaining about Ali on the Run seems unnecessary.
She seems far from an influencer, she just interviews people and announces races - what's the problem with that? She's not out there hyping up terrible training, bad shoe reviews and other products. I get a lot more out of her podcasts than the ones by the blojos.

Really it's sad that these people have so much sway over the industry. They're certainly not making the sport better.
How is Seth transparent? He literally just spins a wheel it seems to pick his numbers
This is a somewhat fair point. But he's transparently bad at least and seems to not take much (if anything) in the form of free trips from shoe companies these days. His numbers may be nonsensical, but at least they're not bought!
