I just watched an 8 minute Total Running Productions clickbait video saying Jakob is in the 3000. I want my 8 minutes back.
That account is such garbage clickbait. Jakob is scheduled to run 1,500 in Lieven and 3,000 the following week in Madrid. He never mentioned going for the WR in either race and his camp has refuted it as well. He had some setbacks in training this winter, so unclear if he will still be running anyway

TRP legitimately gets me riled up like an angry boomer. Slow week? Time to drop a 10 min Kipchoge video
Lieven website says Jakob is going after 1500m WR unless it’s a typo. Thoufht he was going after 3000m WR?
Maybe going for the Double with World Records in both, I think Jesse Owens broke 5 World Records in 80 Minutes, so 2 World Records in One Day is very Doable
Translated this from norwegian media NRK three days ago:
"7 February 2023 at 17:51: Ingebrigtsen drops out of the competition - hopes to reach the EC Jakob Ingebrigtsen had to cancel his stay at high altitude in the Sierra Nevada in January due to a cold that refused to go away. On Tuesday, the 22-year-old from Sandnes confirms to NRK that he is dropping the indoor event in Madrid on 22 February, where it was announced that he would make a world record attempt at 3,000 metres. He still keeps the door open to run 1,500 meters in Lievin on February 15, in an event where he set a world record a year ago. But the chances are not good, he reveals. It still does not mean that the indoor season is spoiled: - I am planning Istanbul, writes Ingebrigtsen in a message to NRK, and confirms that in that case he hopes to defend his titles in both 1500 and 3000 meters in the indoor EC. On Instagram, he says that the disease is now a closed chapter. - Now I'm finally starting to feel like myself, and I'm working towards what I love most; win races and run fast, he writes."
So he might show up at Lievin, but not in WR shape.
