Altra right shoe defects?

    I’ve been running into a funny thing with Altra shoes lately. The past year both the Escalante and Torin have a bad problem with warped right shoes. You can put both shoes on flat ground and press lightly on the back of the shoe and the left shoe will stay stable but the right shoe will rock side to side pretty bad. I’ve had to check quite a few shoes to find a pair that isn’t warped otherwise the right shoe irritates my peroneal tendon. Mind you these are brand new shoes straight out of the box.

    is anyone else experiencing this problem? Haven’t seen it on the Rivera or Vanish shoes.

    I've noticed inconsistency in sizing. I bought two pairs, they are both the same number of the Escalante, in the exact same size. Just different colours. When I put them against the wall there is an obvious size difference. But I guess that's between pairs not between left and right. It's frustrating though. Surely they should be from the same last?

    I don’t think it’s a lasting issue, I think it’s a production process issue. I think something during production is warping the midsole of the shoe.
