Was out LATE last night at Chadwick's and had a crazy thought, could Jim Ryun at 75 years old, break 4:00 with today's training and super shoes?
Yes, it seems incredible, but I did win the Marine Corps Marathon in 2003 with a sore left foot at age 41.
Here's the rundown of my thinking:
Ryun definitely has the talent. Does anyone know if he still trains? If so, who is coaching him?
Might be an AWESOME race to watch at Prefontaine this summer against the HS contingent.
Could you imagine 75 year old Jim Ryun in his Kansas jersey lining up against the Sahlman brothers etc? EPIC.
