I’ve seen a lot of threads and discussion on double threshold days with many proponents being world class runners/coaches. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on an idea that I had as someone with no background in the physiology of the training principle.
Would having a double threshold day with a bike and run session instead of double run lead to any tangible benefit? I’ve taken up biking as a cross training tool (can’t run more than 45-50 miles a week without getting hurt) and was wondering if instead of two lactic sessions of running I could replace one with the bike. Would I get a similar benefit?
