Im guessing most people are approx 20s/km ish?
Just trying to get a goal pace sorted for an A race later in the year.

Actually nearer 12/15 for someone decent I guess...
6.1 sec ;)
That's quick! I know a race calculator will give me a reading, just wondered what everyone's was in real life.
I could never hit my predicted 10k time with a 5k recent race time entered. Or anything longer than that tbh.
I was way off, hopefully 10 seconds ish.
~7s/km. 20 is way too many. Good endurance should be +/- a few seconds off of 10s/km.

Nope. 6 seconds. You're very undertrained.
Yep, couldn't run for 10 months with grade 4 stress fracture, will have to get after it.
Would like to get 10 seconds a km extra. Dont think I'll get much inside that.
Take up golf.

Race calculators are pretty reliable in converting 5k to 10k times. For most people.

Per kilometer:
My 5k PR: 19:35 ( 3.916 min./k--235.08s)
8k PR: 33:23 (4.17375 min/k--250.425) net +15.345 sec.
10k PR: 42:27 (4.245 min/k-254.7) net + 4.275 sec.
i hope this helps

So my total net 5k to 10k is very close to 20...at 19.610
Yep, that's a more real world difference IMO.
I' ll never get near my predicted marathon time on a race predictor.
Race predictors work well up to the HM distance.
They're too optimistic for the marathon distance.
19 seconds for me.
(5K 16:57, 10K 37:01).
18:20 and 39:09
3:45/km and 3:55/km
So 10 s slower per km.
A lot of answers from soft men who don’t run their 5k hard enough.
Mine is 10.7 seconds per km. My only 10k was a XC race at regionals and I fell twice during the race.
6s (17:41/36:11)
7 seconds/km
