i’m a high school girl. i am 5’3.5 and 96 or 97 pounds. i don’t have an eating disorder and never have. i’ve always been on the thin side. does this seem too underweight, though?
i have had so many injuries, by far the most on the girls’ and boys’ teams at my school and more than probably like 99% of high school runners. however, i’ve never had a stress fracture. but does being underweight cause non-stress fracture injuries too? i’ve only known it to cause stress fractures.
i eat a lot and i am not vegan/vegetarian or anything. i also do everything to prevent and rehab these stupid injuries but just end up with something else once one goes away. so my last thought is it could be my weight — am i underweight? is this causing all of my injuries? my doctors haven’t expressed concern but i thought i’d ask.
