Deion Sanders was nearly unstoppable in Baseball, Football, the 40 yard dash and even now as a coach. So who was naturally faster, Prime Time or Usain Bolt?!
Obviously, Bolt focused on track and Sanders didn't, but if he had, would he have been the GOAT? I think so.
You’re out of your mind for even suggesting it. And you’re batsh!t crazy if you believe it. Sanders was fast but not even the fastest man to have ever played football or baseball.
Also, and you may or may not know this, the 40 times that are quoted are not accurate at all. Some are even hand-timed but none are FAT.
Deion toyed with track, he knew his future was in the NFL from high school so all we got out of him as a trackster was some shuckin' n' jivin;. Had a PR of 10.26 and never broke 20.7ish at 200m, that stuff won't cut it vs elite sprinters. Yes if not for football we probably have a 10.1low/20.4ish cat here but by no means can we give hm anything faster than that.
Bo Jackson was like Sanders he toyed with track, he would have been faster than his 10.39 if serious, see a 10.1ish also.
When it comes to cornerbacks ,it's Darrell Green a 10.08 cat, James Trapp at 10.14, Terrence Newman a Big12 100 champ at Kansas State 10.20,, Clarence Childs 9.4, Deion would fit right about here.
Deion is a hell of a salesman a great recruiter but......Colorado......ouch! What to do in Boulder and it gets cold.
Forget Usian Bolt that is a totally different world of speed.

In Deon's prime, Bolt was 10 years old, so yeah, Deon could have beat Bolt in Deon's prime.
But Deon certainly couldn't have beat Bolt in Bolt's prime.

Bob Hayes, on the other hand, was a WR holder in the 100m (10.06 at the 1964 Olympics).
Renaldo Nehemiah held the WR in the hurdles (went under 13 seconds and the record stood for 4 years).
Those are your best NFL sprinters. Darell Green and Deion were great, but not NEARLY as fast as you think.
