Haven’t been running very long (about 2 years) and completed a half marathon in 1:32. I was definitely in better shape cause that was in the middle of marathon training with 0 taper, and felt I could run 1:30.
however, my easy runs are so slow. I usually go by feel and make sure my heart rate is in the 130s. I end up running around 9:40/mile pace for most of them. My training partners who I often run faster than in training do all their easy runs at least a minute/mile faster than mine. Why are my runs so slow?! Is this a problem? I’m trying to run 1:27 this spring.
