I don't know about abortion but there have been cases of athletes winning tournaments at the beginning of their pregnancies. Lots of cases.

Any actual research you can quote to prove your point? I can give show you a quality study in a peer-reviewed journal that shows yes, about half of elite runners perform better after pregnancy but there is no physiological characteristic to explain why.
You’re half right. Post-pregnancy performance can be better but it’s in way close to being the same as doing.
I will happily apologize and admit I’m wrong if you back up what you say with anything other than anecdotal statements.
